The long overdue first outing of LOW HANGING FRUIT label honcho MARC LANSLEY finally hits the connaisseur playlists: a self-described "notorious hoarder of unfinished sketches and half-assed arrangements", the longstanding dj and bedroom producer sure took his sweet time to drop a selection of shelved gems in a somewhat official manner. Having recently relocated from Cologne, Germany to Cleveland, USA, he left behind a life as former local hero and purveyor of fine leftfield electronics since 1997, now presenting his uniquely dishevelled vision of sonic punditry to a wholly new and unsuspecting crowd. Featuring four hearty servings of glitchy beats and wads of steaming synth, LAST BEAT STANDING is a set of slow-churning, battle-scarred wasteland bangers, a relentlessly rollicking machinery running on exhaust fumes, ready to claim its very own dent in the space-time continuum. And when the floor lies deserted and the smoke clears, we'll know what time love is - no filler, all killer!
